Do you approve of the work Obama is doing?

Yes I do... There are things on both sides I do & don't agree with, but I think he is trying and working hard. He is trying to work on keeping his promises, but remember he is not the only one on Capital Hill, he is not the only one who makes decisions. Republican Politicians have already straight up said they will fight him on EVERYTHING. Obama doesn't want that, he wants the politicians to come together to make a difference for everyone, not just the select few. He wants America to come together as a country, instead of separate parties within a country. Obama doesn't want to just shove things through because they have the numbers. He wants us to come together as a people, by the people, ALL THE PEOPLE, not just a few select individuals who have big wallets & special interests.

History has proven it will always get worse before it gets better..... considering how bad it was when Obama took office, it was bound to get worse. Their are increases in numbers for retail and other places, unfortunately considering how bad it was it will take a while for all of us to see the benefits. Other countries are in a downfall also and we can't control that, but it will effect us. This is what I see and believe. Granted I don't agree with his immigration stance and I am hoping Brewer will get through to him on that. Which is saying a lot coming from me considering I think she is nuts & really don't agree with much of what she says.

N. Korea well that is just an unstable situation and I don't have all the info or evidence the political figures have, from what I have heard I really think they need to look into sabotage.. but then again I don't have access to what they do...

Iraq, well never mind the fact that we weren't even suppose to be in Iraq in the first place... OIL, go figure... At this point we can not just drop everything & leave. If we do that millions of people's blood will be on our heads and then they will have even more of a reason for hating us and wanting us destroyed. We are working with them to take back control of their own country, but we have to be very careful how we do that. Not to mention that if we leave now, how many other countries will be pissed at us? How many others will cease talks with us or treaties? I mean why if we can't keep our word. He has others listening, granted their stubborn & it is taking time, but they are listening. Minds, traditions, and history will not change over night, but taking a different approach might end up working, considering nothing else has..

We teach our kids to turn the other cheek, to talk it out, because violence should never be the first move, yet we as adults just want to show military force to get what we want. That hasn't worked really good in the past. Aren't we suppose to learn from history. At this point he is stuck between a rock & a hard place and Bush Sr., Jr. & Clinton put us there, not Obama..

If everyone keeps fighting against him, instead of with him. If everyone keeps going for their special motivations then what is really good for the WHOLE country, you all are right nothing will get better.

AZ Law & Illegals.....

As a long time resident of Arizona I see us catching flack regarding our border policies, yet when a terrorist attack, possible attack, or criminal act happens by visa holders or illegals everyone throws a fit that we let them in the country. How did they get here, how could we not know? and so on... What all of you see is what happens around the country, none of you experience first hand what we deal with on a regular basis. Until you walk in our shoes, or at least take the time to read the new law, please don't prejudge what AZ has done. The law is designed to enforce FEDERAL law. Read the law, don't take someone's word for what it says, actually read it!!

If you believe Arizona passed its immigration law due to Hispanics, that is wrong. The law was passed to protect our borders from illegal immigrants - no matter the nationality. Phoenix is the #1 Kidnapping capital in the U.S. Not only do Mexicans cross the border, but people from Pakistan, Yeman, Iran, Iraq, and other countries that support terrorist. Also, people that are linked to terrorist groups are being documented as crossing the border illegally. Some have been caught, most of them not.....

America is being chastised for protecting her borders, yet we have 194(apx) countries in this world with borders and they protect them.
Some countries throw you in a cell open to all the elements, have no food, water only runs for 1 hour per week, they have no clothes when yours ... See Morerots off, beaten & tortured on a regular basis, the toliet is your cell.. etcc.. We on the other hand, give them clothes, three meals a day, cable, medical, etc... Yet we're the bad ones..
It is not racist to protect our borders. Every country in this world has stricter and even more dangerous immigration laws then we do. To fall back on the old "racist" rhetoric just doesn't work. I am so sick & tired of someone throwing out the race card when they don't get their way or don't like something. To even claim that protecting our borders is "racism" is just plain ridiculous. It seems when some run out of any other objections they run to the race card. Some Blacks, Asians, Orientals, Mexicans, and many others are racist if you wanna go there. You have BET TV, NAACP, Ms. Asian Miss American, Miss Black Miss America, Spanish stations, Asian communities, black communities, Spanish communities, and so on.... We have college funds for many races, except for Caucasian. We have quotas that employers have to hire a minimum amount of different races, except Caucasians. But as a Caucasian woman I am sure someone reading this will call me a racist, yet they know nothing about me. Never mind I am raising a child that is not mine & of different origins, but none of that matters, because he is my son! I have 15 - 20 kids of different nationalities that hang at my house all the time and they all get treated the same and they all follow the same rules. Yet I still believe we need to protect our borders... So the racist claims don't really hold any water...

No one in this has said anything about not excepting immigrants and welcoming them with open arms, as long as they do it the LEGAL way.

There is also more then one issue to the illegal immigration issue. There are different types of Visas, there is political asylum, refugee status, illegal border crossers.... All these issues need to be separated and dealt with in different ways. Say you stay past your status date on your visa. I believe you should be given a chance to correct that and stay if you like. As long as you are a contributing member of society, no criminal record, and such. They at least proved they wanted to be part of this country. Most of them learn the language before they even get here. They deserve to be here.

Those that cross the border illegally and shun our laws, slap us in the face, endanger Americans on the border, and ignore everything we are about DON'T deserve to be here period! That is just facts, not racism!!!
